A Five-string bass that has been gaining a lot of attention lately.
By adding one lower string after the 4th string, the range of the instrument is widely expanded. With a 4-string bass, you can only play E, but with a 5-string bass you can even play lower B expanding your horizons.
The B sound that can be produced by the 5th string is extremely low in pitch, and if the setting and manufacturing accuracy of the instrument body is not good or if the tension is loose, the pitch of the 5th string is not gonna feel right, so you need just the right five-string bass for the job.
Because of this, when choosing a 5-string bass, we recommend that you choose one that is more detailed than the 4-string bass with regard to instrument body construction, settings, and specifications.
Bacchus WL-534S ASH
Among the popular Bacchus Global series with outstanding cost performance, we will introduce the regular model "WL-534 S ASH" of the model "WL-534" series that is linked to the -WOODLINE- family, which is the signature Bacchus line of products.
Ash body
The more you treat the materials, the more of the material’s individual you will bring up in its sound. This class has achieved a body that uses high-quality ash that outputs a wide range of sounds out of the 5 strings in a well-balanced and dynamic manner. A wide range and tight sound can be obtained by combining the maple neck + rich light fingerboard with this ash.
Stylish downsized body
The Bacchus WOODLINE models, including the WL-534S ASH, have an overall slim body outline, and the edges of the body are square and sharper than the traditional electric basses.
Joint heel cut
The part where the neck and body are joined together is called a joint. A "heel cut" is when you carve a deeper shape in order to allow better and easier playing on the higher frets.
Pickup
Equipped with the new JBCR-5-MDN Bacchus pickup. Compared to previous vintage type pickups more coil has been winded into the pickup giving as a result, a more powerful, more modern-sounding tone.
Turbo switch
This model includes a turbo switch that allows you to connect both pickups by pulling up the tone knob and thus producing a rounder fat sound as a result. While the turbo switch is on effect, the neck pickup volume control dictates the volume of the whole system, and the bridge pickup volume control is bypassed.

Oil finish
In addition to see-through gloss color where ash grain is able to be seen through, we also have an option with Bacchus’ original oil finish. The unevenness of the ash conduits and the exquisite luster are attractive features that this finish allows you to appreciate. This is an important point that shows the original qualities of the Bacchus WOODLINE.
