About WOODLINE
The WOODLINE is the flagship design of the Bacchus Handmade Series electric basses, with a downsized shape tailor-made for superior playability.
The controls are the standard JB-style 2Vol, 1Tone, and of course the traditional Turbo Switch. When the tone knob is pulled up, the two pickups are connected in a series to create a fat sound like a humbucking PU. (When the Turbo Switch is turned on, the front volume knob controls the volume, and the rear volume knob is bypassed.)
African mahogany 1P body
The body is made of rare one-piece of African Mahogany . The one-piece African Mahogany body weighs only 3.8g (individual weight may vary), making it very lightweight and easy to handle.
The fat and sweet sound of mahogany is still there, but the lightweight body reduces stress when playing.
Specialty wood materials
Oil Finish
The oil finish is one of the staples of the Bacchus brand since its early days.
Oil finishes are different from ordinary top lacquer finishes in that each step of the painting process, from coloring to polishing, requires a high degree of precision. Oil finishes should not be too matte or too shiny, as this will not bring out the texture of the wood. The Bacchus original oil finish is the result of a long period of persistence and trial and error.
Control panel made of treated walnut
The main features of this model are the walnut pickguard, control panel, and pickup cover.
These parts are usually made of metal or resin, but we have processed and adopted wooden ones instead.
The pickup covers are made of wood, which often do not have ears for screws, or even if they do, they are spliced together which we didn't do.
This is a very time-consuming method, but we have spared no effort in producing this limited edition model.
※Although the control panel has been strengthened beforehand, if it is handled in the same way as conventional products made of metal or resin, it may be damaged due to the nature of the material. Please take care of it beforehand.
